Set in the 1980s, The Negotiator follows Mason Skiles (Hamm), a heavy-drinking diplomat-turned-mediator who is recruited to negotiate when an old friend (Pellegrino) is kidnapped in Beirut. As his past comes back to haunt him, Skiles must keep it together with the help of his trusted CIA handler (Pike) to ensure the mission is a success.

Featuring plenty of clever twists and turns, this espionage thriller, from the writer of the Bourne films, delves into the dark complexities of Middle Eastern relations.

“This is Hamm’s best leading role to date, a reminder of how good he can be when he’s given the right material” RogerEbert.com
