Avant Garde mix contemporary hip hop, music and story to re-tell this much loved classic.
Presenting Dickens’ Oliver Twist in a new light, Tony Adigun’s choreography flips your expectations of five familiar characters, in a world that’s not so far from our own.
The streets are a place of little comfort for Fagin, a notorious and complex villain driven by greed, ambition and love for the boys he protects. Fairy-tale endings meet hard times in this poignant coming-of-age tale.
Fagin’s Twist is co-produced by The Place.
These performances were originally scheduled for September 2018 and have been rescheduled as a result of a short delay in the re-opening of the Theatre. All original bookers have been notified and tickets replaced for these dates.
