Jay Langdell leads a one day workshop that takes you through all of the stages of editing and compositing. For business or pleasure, this workshop will re-enforce prior knowledge and show best practice for new skills and methodology.
This masterclass will explore the history around the psychology of editing, focusing on the different types of edit and why and when to cut. You’ll also learn how to add text and graphical overlays to projects, and how to use software to maximum effect.
This masterclass is fun and practical with lots of opportunities to explore complex conventions and theories around this mystical art form.
Jay has also delivered a Low Budget Filmmaking Masterclass at Warwick Arts Centre on Sun 10 Mar to explore the basics of creating a short film. If you have been on that course, it’s the perfect opportunity to bring along the film you’ve created to make the most of this class.
Participants will need to have HitFilm Express installed and activated on their laptop, which can be downloaded here: https://hitfilm.com/express. Please follow the download, install and activation instructions. You will also need to bring any logos, films or other media that you may like to use in the session.
Please note that the usual Warwick Arts Centre Terms and Conditions do not apply to Masterclasses. Click here for the Masterclasses Terms and Conditions, or download them from the right hand side of the page.
