A relaxed and interactive concert designed especially for babies, children and their grown-ups.
Every half term holiday, join us for a fun and interactive concert brought to you by professional musicians with a passion for sharing their love of classical music. Whether it’s your very first concert or your 100th - it’s a great way to enjoy music together as a family!
A happy, informal first step along the way to a lifetime’s enjoyment of live music. Robyn and Naomi bring a blend of classical repertoire, folk songs and nursery rhymes, and can’t wait to share them with you. Laughing, stamping, clapping, sulking, singing along, crawling onto our feet – every reaction is valid, and valued!
Part of the Lunchtime Concerts Series.
Recommended age: 0-7 years. All welcome.
Performers
Robyn and Naomi are both freelance musicians and mums, juggling a wide range of work with the never-ending needs of lively, (or, to be frank, quite wild), toddlers. They play with a plethora of orchestras (BBC Concert Orchestra, Royal Philharmonic Orchestra, Birmingham Royal Ballet, and many more); work with solo artists and stars (Adele, Burt Bacharach, Katie Melua); record for live Proms, programmes about chimpanzees, adverts for supermarkets; take an occasional splash into West End musicals (Miss Saigon, & Juliet, Top Hat, and many others); and have had fascinating and sometimes emotional experiences in care homes for those living with dementia. They like to reminisce about the heady old days of touring the globe, pre-babies-and -Covid, but are actually very happy with life as it currently is…
