Theatre Technician

This permanent position plays a key senior role as part of the Technical team in bringing live events to life, supporting the delivery of all technical aspects of both our live program, hires and conference events.

In this multi-skilled technician role, you will provide support for audio, lighting, stage management, and other technical services including AV specialising in at least one of these areas. You will also be key to liaising with student societies and realising the technical element of their shows in pre-production.

You will also assist with the timely maintenance of all equipment associated with the stage, auditorium and rehearsal/hire spaces and to assist with the inspection of all installations and equipment to ensure compliance with current legislation and licensing requirements.

For this role, it is key for you to have strong skills in two disciplines from Stage/Lighting/Sound. It is essential that you are a communicative, collaborative, positive and pro-active individual. Flexibility is key in the event industry, and you'll need to be prepared to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends. Please note a 5% availability allowance is included in the advertised salary scale.
