Volunteering at Warwick Arts Centre
Why volunteer at Warwick Arts Centre?
Whether it's to make friends, gain new skills, or enjoy amazing cultural experiences, we welcome you to join our visitor experience team. Our volunteers are committed to sharing their love for the arts and help deliver experiences that our visitors will feel and never forget.
As a volunteer, you could be checking tickets, welcoming visitors, assisting with queries, or helping out with one of our community events. There really is a role to suit everyone!
As a thank you, volunteers have access to exclusive opportunities to see shows and films, engage with artists and join our social meet ups.
Not only did I see some great events, but I met some lovely people. It made me go out in the winter months...and widened my social circleAlex, Warwick Arts Centre Volunteer, 2025

Live Events & Cinema Volunteer
This role is primarily based on working in our Butterworth Hall, Theatre, Studio, Ensemble Room or across our three Cinema screens.
Live events can range from comedy to theatre and dance, to orchestral performances, or spoken word. While in our Cinemas you’ll see some of the latest blockbuster releases, alongside more alternative or classic films.
Our venues range from holding as little as 50 people, up to as large as 2000 people, so you’ll definitely be interacting with lots of visitors on these shifts. Some prior training or experience in customer service would be useful for this role, but not essential. We would expect volunteers to pick up shifts weekly/bi-weekly, according to the live programme and cinema needs.
This role will suit you if you:

- Have a love or interest for the arts
- Are a positive and reliable individual
- Are a strong team player, who can also work on their own when needed
