Daniel Radcliffe is mesmerising as the young writer Allen Ginsberg in this dark tale of a murder that drew together the poets of the Beat generation.

New at Columbia University, Ginsberg falls in with charismatic classmate Lucien Carr (Dane DeHaan), who encourages him to challenge the old guard and introduces him to a heady new world of drugs, jazz and recreational sex, as well as fellow writers Jack Kerouac and William Burroughs. But Carr’s relationship with an obsessive older man (Michael C. Hall) threatens the group’s care-free lifestyle, and soon they all find themselves embroiled in a traumatic event that will change the course of their lives completely.
