A panel of distinguished art historians and cultural analysts including De Juliet Bareau-Wilson, Maria Estrada Fuentes, Dr Andrés Montenegro Rosero and Professor Paul Smith will discuss Manet’s painting and its resonance in contemporary Latin American art. The afternoon is chaired by Professor Séan Hand and there will be opportunities for the audience to discuss with the speakers the ideas presented.
The study afternoon is followed by a special screening of Un Muro de Silencio (1992), starring Vanessa Redgrave. Its director, Lita Stantic will introduce the film, which examines the ‘Disappeared’ of Argentia. This event is supported by the Culture Section of the Argentine Embassy, London.
