A Separation director Asghar Farhadi returns to the theme of broken marriage in this intense family drama set in the suburbs of Paris.

Bérénice Bejo (The Artist) plays Marie, a young mother in the midst of a divorce from her estranged husband Ahmad (Mosaffa). When Ahmad returns to Paris to sign the legal papers, he finds Marie and her daughters living with her new partner, Samir (Rahim) and his son. Amidst this complicated domestic set up, Ahmad’s presence stirs up layers of guilt and resentment surrounding a secret from the family’s past.

“Dramatically rich, layered and engrossing film.” ★★★★★ The Independent
