At the peak of her international acting career, Maria Enders (Binoche) is asked to perform in a revival of the play that made her famous 20 years earlier. Departing to rehearse in Sils Maria, a remote region of the Alps, with her assistant (Stewart) she finds herself playing opposite a young Hollywood starlet with a penchant for scandal (Moretz) – an ambiguously charming woman who is, in essence, an unsettling reflection of herself.

“Fearlessly intelligent… A complex, bewitching and melancholy drama” The Telegraph
