Being the only hearing member of a deaf and mute family, Paula is struggling to find her voice and make her own life decisions. After discovering a talent for singing and receiving encouragement from her choir teacher, she decides to pursue a singing career, leaving the family facing numerous challenges.

In what could be called a French Billy Elliot, moments of deep love and affection are as much guaranteed as moments of heart felt laughter. Louane Emera (Paula) won the National Film award of France for Best Female Newcomer.
