This event follows on from the A Journey with The Waste Land event and invites visitors to contribute their ideas as to how an exhibition based on T.S. Eliot’s The Waste Land might look in the Mead Gallery.
The day will include presentations, workshops and discussions. The Waste Land, often seen as ‘difficult’, will be explored in new and engaging ways through sound and imagery, demonstrating how its meaning can open out in surprising and moving ways. Participants are asked to bring three images which suggest to them some aspect of the poem.
Participants’ attendance at A Journey with The Waste Land on Thu 5 May is recommended but not essential. Welcome refreshments will be provided.
