Aditi Mangaldas is a dance revolutionary. Working for many years within the classical Indian form of Kathak she is now forging a dynamic approach, refashioning traditional vocabulary with 21st century sound, rhythm and light.
Celebrated around the world for the startling richness and intricacy of her choreography Mangalda’s latest piece Inter_rupted is inspired by fragility, disintegration and renewal. The show features seven dancers with musicians live on stage.
Farooq Chaudry (Akram Khan Company) is dramaturg, lighting is by Knight of Illumination award winner Fabiana Piccioli and the costumes are designed by English National Ballet regular Kimie Nakano.
