During this fun and relaxed course you have an introduction into technical and creative ways to experiment with your camera. Explore sharp shooting, macro photography, and painting in the dark techniques in this one day creative photography session.
To get the best out of this class you will need to understand the basics of Aperture, Shutter Speed and ISO. This is the 3rd in a series of photography masterclasses so it is ideal if you have already attended one of Kate’s previous classes or if you have a good understanding how your camera works but want to develop your creative techniques.
1) Shooting in manual mode
2) Sharp shooting – techniques for producing sharper images, in-camera.
3) Getting better results with your flash
4) Shooting people – how to take better portraits
5) HDR photography
6) Seeing double – tips for creating double exposures
7) Macro photography
8) Shooting in the dark and painting with light
You will need a camera that allows you to shoot in manual mode (allowing you to adjust the shutter speed and aperture) and be familiar with how to adjust the settings yourself on your camera. If you have a laptop or tablet that you use for processing your images it would be helpful, but not essential, for you to bring this and any connecting cables or card readers along too. If you have a tripod and any macro photography please bring it along but this is not essential for you to enjoy the course.
Please bring appropriate clothing to go outside.
