A building in Singapore has been attacked. Six witnesses: millennials, almost grown up but not quite. Six young people finding themselves, only beginning to understand their identities, sexualities and relationships.
What sort of violence has materialized, and who’s responsible? Comedic and affecting, Bumiputera is at once striking and tender in its portrayal of different but equally earnest lives. At turns lyrical and earthy, Bumiputera reveals ultimately what it means to love and live even when everything falls apart.
