A con artist, Count Fujiwara (Jung-woo), sets out to steal the riches of beautiful heiress Lady Hideko (Min-hee). Installing pickpocket Sook-hee (Tae-ri) as Hideko’s handmaiden, Fujiwara charges her with getting the heiress to elope with him rather than go ahead with her impending marriage to her uncle. However, Sook-hee and Hideko fall for each other instead.

Adapted from Sarah Waters’ award-winning novel Fingersmith, director Park Chan-wook relocates this visually stunning exploration of female sexuality to 1930s Korea.
