Bring a notebook

James Alexander-Sinclair began as a landscape contractor about 30years ago. Since then he has designed gardens, both large and small, all over the place from the Western Isles to the outskirts of Moscow. He writes monthly columns in Gardeners World Magazine and Gardens Illustrated and his Blogs have won the Garden Media Guild ‘Blog of the Year’ Award an unprecedented three times.

James has also presented television programmes on both the BBC and Channel 4 – including coverage of the Chelsea Flower Show and the Great Chelsea Garden Challenge. He has hosted the design theatres at all the major flower shows and lectures on gardens all over the place. He is an RHS gardens Judge and Chairman of the Judging Panel at the Moscow Flower Show. In 2011 he was elected to the Council of the Royal Horticultural Society where he is Chairman of the Gardens Committee, a member of the Horticulture Board and of the Shows Advisory Group.
