When his parents separate, a bitter custody battle results in 11-year-old Julien (Gioria) being caught between his parents, Miriam (Drucker) and Antoine (Ménochet). In a dreary magistrate’s court, the lawyers of the estranged couple debate their clients’ parental rights as Miriam pushes for sole custody, accusing her ex-husband of intimidation as well as violence against their older daughter Josephine (Mathilde Auneveux), whilst Antoine manipulates the legal proceedings in order to claw his way back into his ex’s life.
