Charting the relationship of Jean-Luc Godard (Garrel) and Anne Wiazemsky (Martin), this is an innovative biopic from the director of The Artist. Set during the 1960s, Redoutable follows Godard when he had finished filming La Chinoise and was drawn into the national movement of revolution, radically changing his approach to filmmaking.
“Redoubtable is fun, breezy, super-self-referential recycling of vintage Godardian tropes” BFI
