Things are not looking good for 1920s film star Don Lockwood (Kelly): an intolerable co-star, an uninspiring repertoire, and a challenging transition from silent films to ‘talkies’ all conspire to make his life miserable. But the humour of his longtime collaborator Cosmo (O’Connor) and a fortuitous meeting with a spirited showgirl (Reynolds) will turn his fortunes around. Filled with unforgettable numbers such as Make ‘Em Laugh, Good Morning, and of course the titular Singin’ in the Rain, this fabulous musical classic never loses its charm.
