Every Saturday and in the school holidays, families with children are invited to pick up a specially-designed activity backpack and Follow that Hare on a self-led art and nature trail around campus.
In addition to a specially-designed trail map, the backpacks contain arts materials, binoculars and a flora and fauna check-list, encouraging all explorers to get involved. You can pick up a backpack from the Creative Learning Space and then embark on your trail anytime throughout the day. As it’s self-led, you can be flexible and make the trail your own by visiting as many pieces as you can in an hour or spend a luxury 2 – 4 hours exploring campus, the choice is yours!
Please note that this ticket secures your backpack and is a refundable deposit. If you come in a group, you can choose to book one or more but there will be a £20 refundable deposit required per backpack, so please book a ticket for each backpack that is required. Please note that the ticket price does not include a personal trail guide – the trails are designed to be self-guided using the backpack and trail map.
Once you have your ticket, you can collect your backpack from the Creative Learning Space and head off on your trail. Once you have finished your trail, please return the backpack to the Creative Learning Space, where your ticket will be stamped and you can return it to Box Office for a refund of your deposit. Please ensure that you keep your ticket.
The Art and Nature Trail is open to members of the public, school groups and University students and staff. You can find out more here
