Following a successful year touring Love Is Magic, his critically-acclaimed fourth solo album, John Grant will perform as a duo with his long-time piano player Chris Pemberton. Taking a stripped-back approach, Grant will perform classics from across his career on just piano and keys. His latest tour also marks the ten year anniversary of his celebrated debut solo LP Queen Of Denmark.
Support comes from Teddy Thompson, called “one of the most gifted singer-songwriters of his generation,” by The New York Times. A native Englishman, famously the son of singer-songwriters Richard and Linda Thompson, he emigrated to the United States almost twenty years ago to embark on a career of his own. Now based in New York City, Teddy’s newest album, Heartbreaker Please, is released on Thirty Tigers in Spring 2020.
“Grant’s magnificent velvety howl of a voice needs to be consumed at close quarters; so too his light-footed wit… It’s hard to think of a more loveable performer.” ★★★★★ The Times
