Chineke! Orchestra continue to champion change and celebrate diversity in classical music.
Join us for an evening that begins with Stravinsky's delightful Suites No.1 and No.2 - jubilant and bright miniatures that sprang from his earlier Easy Pieces - and Joaquín Rodrigo's towering Concierto de Aranjuez (featuring rising international star, Brazilian guitarist Plinio Fernandes).
Retaining the Latin American theme is contemporary Columbian composer Eliana Echverry's Symphonic Lullabies while Adolphus Hailstork's First Symphony brings together lush soundscapes and African American influences for an uplifting finale.
On the podium is Colombian conductor Tatiana Pérez-Hernández, who was recently appointed Fellowship Conductor of the Baltimore Symphony Orchestra.
