Anne Hathaway plays a Taylor Swift-esque pop superstar in David Lowery’s (A Ghost Story, The Green Knight) stylish melodrama.

Long-buried wounds rise to the surface when iconic pop star Mother Mary (Anne Hathaway) reunites with her estranged best friend and former costume designer Sam Anselm (Michaela Coel) on the eve of her comeback performance. Mother Mary features original songs by FKA Twigs (who also appears as herself), Charli XCX and Jack Antonoff, performed by Hathaway herself.
