Creative Socials: COLLAGE
Free, just drop in!
Fancy doing something a bit different? Come along to Creative Socials at Warwick Arts Centre for a chance to switch off, get creative and spend some time with other students.
Enter a world of strange and surreal collage! Join us to create your own grotesque creatures and fantastical characters using an eclectic collection of pre-sourced body parts, animals, machinery, wings, clocks and other curious imagery. Cut, combine and rearrange images from magazines and encyclopaedias to invent bizarre new beings and imaginative scenes. This relaxed, drop-in workshop is suitable for all abilities.
Using images sourced from magazines and encyclopaedias, participants will be encouraged to select, cut, combine and arrange different images to create entirely new and fantastical forms. The workshop will introduce simple collage techniques and offer inspiration for combining unrelated images in playful, imaginative and sometimes bizarre ways.
