Programme

ZIMMER Interstellar Suite

TCHAIKOVSKY Symphony No.5

Conductor: Tianyi Lu

Recommended Age:
Suitable for all (Under 16s must be accompanied by a responsible adult)

Join “the world’s greatest orchestra of teenagers” as they take you on an adventure through time, space and human connection.

Explore the intense atmosphere of Hans Zimmer’s epic and emotive Oscar-nominated Interstellar soundtrack before journeying from darkness to light in Tchaikovsky’s melodic Symphony No.5.

Famed for its 'fate' motif, the colourful 1888 Fifth finds the composer recalling folk tunes and delving into high Romanticism before a graceful waltz leads to a tense yet supremely satisfying finale.

Conducting is Tianyi Lu, recognised for her thrilling energy and deeply creative interpretations.

Experience something extraordinary as a new generation of teenage musicians play without limits.
