Inspired by a true story, and based upon the film of the same name, Made in Dagenham is set in Essex in 1968 and is an uplifting musical comedy about the importance of fighting for what is right.
Rita O’Grady’s life changes when she and the girls at Ford’s Dagenham car plant find out that their pay grade will change to ‘unskilled’. Rita mobilises her friends in a battle against her employers and the corrupt union that is meant to support them. Made in Dagenham shows how ordinary people can do extraordinary things when they stand together.
