Minari is a universal story of grit, determination and starting over.

Set against the backdrop of rural Arkansas, the Yi family set up their new home with hopes of selling Korean produce. Whilst patriarch Jacob (Steven Yeun) is enthusiastic, his wife Monica (Yeri Han) is reserved and anxious about their future. They are joined by unconventional Soonja (Oscar winning Yuh-Jung Youn) who does not fit the archetypal mould, expected by the children, of how grandmas should behave.

Through immense challenges and an examination of the expectations they have for one another, the Yi family demonstrate the resilience and faith needed to prosper together.
