Wryly comic and exquisitely designed, The Grand Budapest Hotel recounts the adventures of a legendary hotel concierge and the humble lobby boy who becomes his friend.
Wes Anderson’s The Grand Budapest Hotel – set in an ornate, between-the-wars Europe and inspired by the novels of Stefan Zweig – recounts the adventures of Gustave H. (Ralph Fiennes), a legendary hotel concierge with a penchant for romancing elderly guests, and Zero Moustafa, the humble lobby boy (Tony Revolori) who becomes his friend.
After one of Gustave’s former conquests (Tilda Swinton) is killed, her son (Adrien Brody) vows to avenge her death. A row breaks out over the theft of a priceless painting, and Zero must save the day – while in the background, the threat of encroaching fascism looms.
