Bowen Yang and Lily Gladstone star in Andrew Ahn’s hilarious update of Ang Lee’s 1993 classic.

Lesbian couple Lee and Angela are struggling to fund another round of IVF. Meanwhile, their friend Chris’s wealthy boyfriend Min’s US visa is due to expire. He and Angela decide on a quid pro quo solution – a green-card marriage in exchange for cash – but their plans to elope are upended when Min’s grandmother (Minari’s Youn Yuh-jung) surprises them with an extravagant wedding banquet. Navigating new queer family models and the weight of cultural expectation, The Wedding Banquet is a joyful comedy of errors.
