Nicolas Cage plays a surfer driven to breaking point in this gloriously demented psychological thriller.

Tempers fray in the searing heat of South Western Australia, where a middle-aged office drone (Cage) has returned with his son to surf the idyllic beach of his childhood. But he hasn’t reckoned with the toxic machismo of a group of powerful locals. Humiliated and drawn into a conflict that grows under the punishing summer sun, the man is pushed to, and past, his breaking point. Lorcan Finnegan’s hallucinogenic thriller is a “hard-hitting, comic bruiser of a picture.” (The Guardian ★★★★)
