Experience traditional raags and moods of the east.

Shahana Kane is an Indian classical vocalist and a disciple of Shri. Mukul Kulkarni and Smt. Sukhada Kane.

Shahana has received training in traditional Gwalior gayaki as well as many traditional and authentic bandishes of the Gwalior gharana. She has also received training in Agra gharana and Jaipur gharana gayaki.

Shahana is one of the only female Hindustani classical vocalists representing these gharanas in the UK. She sings the khayal form of vocal music, placing emphasis on thought and imagination as well as the aesthetics of the raag. In her performance, Shahana will present khayal in evening and night raags, concluding with a few semi-classical compositions.
