Papaya is an artist and activist-led Afro-Feminist project investigating Black liberation, intimacy and care, and the ways in which we can create loving environments in a decolonising world.
It is led by Coventry-based artist, melissandre varin (artist, curator and editor) and Jennifer Lopes Santos (dancer, costume designer, illustrator), together with Charl Vinz (scenography) and Eric Foy (musical storyteller) from Luxembourg.
During the project the artists will work with Coventry residents to create new visions for the future.
Join us for this FREE final performance which will be an artistic response to the themes using varied creative media.
Supported by Coventry City Council, Coventry 2021 UK City of Culture, Foleshill Community Centre and Grand Union.
