Nauru is a small island-state in the Pacific, once called ‘Pleasant Island’ by British whalers.

Nauru’s history is a parable of our modern age: after the discovery of valuable phosphate, the island became rich, but after its resources were plundered, nothing remained. After ecological and economic ruin, what future remains?

Belgian artists Silke Huysmans and Hannes Dereere bring their compelling documentary theatre, told entirely through mobile phones, to Warwick Arts Centre.
