Join us for a special screening of How to Have Sex, a highly acclaimed film that offers an evocative and nuanced portrayal of sex, consent and female friendship. Shy Tara (Mia McKenna-Bruce) and her more confident friends are seeking drinks, sun and sex at a Cretan resort. But when a night of hedonism turns sour, Tara starts to question her experiences, her friendships and her future, even as the partying continues around her.
Content Warning: This film includes depictions of sexual assault.
Post-screening Panel discussion
We're delighted to be joined by the film's Intimacy Coordinator Jen Odell whose film and TV work includes Dune Part 2 and 3, Sex Education series 2 and 3, and Black Mirror and actor Enva Lewis who made her acting debut in the film. The discussion will be chaired by Polina Zelmanova, a PhD candidate, Relationships and Sex Education practitioner and co-curator of the Care BTS season whose research explores depictions of sex on screen in the #MeToo era.
