Nominated for eight Oscars including Best Picture, Best Director and Best Actress.
Based on Maggie O’Farrell’s acclaimed novel, Chloé Zhao’s (Nomadland) Hamnet is a magnificently crafted story of love, grief and the restorative power of art. Paul Mescal (Aftersun) and Buckley (The Lost Daughter) play William Shakespeare and his wife Agnes. When tragedy strikes their family, it sets the stage for the creation of his masterpiece Hamlet.
In partnership with Universal UK and Reclaim The Frame, some of our Hamnet screenings will be followed by a pre-recorded Q&A with director Chloé Zhao, lead actor Jessie Buckley, and author Maggie O'Farrell. Screenings with this Q&A are on Sun 22 Mar at 2pm and Sun 29 Mar at 7.30pm.
