Mammal Hands stand at the forefront of a new wave of boundary-defying UK artists, blending jazz, contemporary classical, electronica, folk, and minimalism into a sound that is unmistakably theirs.

Across five acclaimed albums, they’ve built an international following drawn to their warmth, dynamic energy, and deeply connective music.

Their new album Circadia — the first with long-time friend and new drummer Rob Turner (formerly of GoGo Penguin) — marks a bold new direction: beat-driven, rhythmically alive, and emotionally resonant. Inspired by cycles and transformation, it’s a meditation on renewal and the beauty of change, where post-rock energy and folk sensitivity meet Turner’s electronica-inspired beats.

To be released in spring 2026 on the legendary ACT label — home to the pioneering Esbjörn Svensson Trio — Circadia opens a new chapter for the band, expanding their sound and vision.

From standout performances at the Barbican to tours across Asia, Mammal Hands have earned a reputation for captivating live shows. Meditative yet visceral, their performances blend driving beats and hypnotic textures —music open to anyone, spiritually uplifting, and resonating long after the last note fades.

Support Act - bonds

bonds is an instrumental group drawing influences from jazz, electronica, film score and alternative music. After five years working together as a touring band - including appearances at We Out Here, Great Escape, Wilderness and the Jazz Café - their April 2025 release ‘the cruellest month’ marked bonds first creative venture as an instrumental trio.

Since its release they have been prevalent on the BHX scene and beyond, notably Mostly Jazz Funk & Soul Festival, Digbeth First Friday, The Social in London and a filmed live show at The Diskery in Birmingham.

bonds’ lighter October 2025 release, ‘This’, has been played on BBC Radio 6 and BBC Introducing. Their latest February 2026 release, ‘Elevator to Reno’, takes inspiration from jazz, blues & 60s film score. It was recorded, mixed and mastered by Fursey Rossi who has helped shape their sound since the release of ‘This’. They have two new experimental releases planned for April and March, which will form a two track EP, and draw more on their electronica influences.

bonds are self-taught musicians, who grew up together as friends and reconvened in the Midlands over their passion for music. They share influences including Surprise Chef, Floating Points, Aphex Twin, Talking Heads and Pink Floyd.
