Giddy and excited, Doe (Ebada Hassan) and Muna (Safiyya Ingar) are travelling to join the Islamic State in Syria. As they near their destination, they must confront the reality of their future. Inspired by real-life stories – including that of Shamima Begum – Nadia Fall’s compassionate debut is a real attempt to understand the path to radicalisation and the lives behind the headlines.
