A young girl experiences the turmoil of first love and friendship in this sublime coming-of-age story.
An introverted 16-year-old, Lucia joins a choir at her Catholic school and befriends outgoing Ana-Maria. But the choir’s weekend trip to a countryside convent, where she meets a renovation workman, tests both that friendship and Lucia’s beliefs. Slovenian director Urška Djukić’s absorbing debut is an intimate look at female sexual awakening and the complexities of teenage friendship.
