Richard Linklater reimagines the making of Jean-Luc Godard’s Breathless in a playful, poignant love letter to cinema and the French New Wave.

Guillaume Marbeck plays Godard at the dawn of his career, directing Jean Seberg (Zoey Deutch) and Jean-Paul Belmondo (Aubry Dill) as star-crossed lovers on the streets of Paris. Working alongside Francois Truffaut, Claude Chabrol, Roberto Rossellini and other key players, the pressure to produce a masterpiece is impossible to ignore… Beautifully shot in monochrome, Nouvelle Vague is a glorious ode to the most transformative period in modern cinema.
