Starring Daniel Auteuil and Juliette Binoche, Michael Haneke’s psychological thriller is widely regarded as one of the great films of the 2000s.
A sophisticated allegory of colonialism and collective memory, guilt and denial, Hidden sees a wealthy Parisian family torn apart when they start receiving unsettling videos of their home, accompanied by crude, violent drawings. Auteuil is Georges, a famous TV presenter; Binoche his wife, Anne. The couple live a happy life with their 12-year-old son, Pierrot. But someone wants to upset their idyll, forcing Georges to unearth a dark secret hidden in his past and buried in his psyche.
