Oscar-nominee Benedict Cumberbatch gives a magnificent performance in this beguiling adaptation of Max Porter’s award-winning novel about loss.

Following the death of his wife, Sad Dad’s (Cumberbatch – BBC’s Sherlock, The Imitation Game) hold on reality crumbles, and a strange presence begins to stalk him from the shadowy recesses of the flat he shares with his sons. A man-like crow (voiced by David Thewlis) is seemingly brought to life from Sad Dad’s work as an illustrator and becomes a very real part of their lives – ultimately guiding them towards the new shape their family must take.
