Colder than ice, her kiss pierces the heart… Oscar-winner Marion Cotillard (La Vie En Rose) brings a thrilling magnetism to Lucile Hadžihalilović’s (Evolution, Earwig) snowbound tale of obsession.

Dreaming of life beyond her orphanage in a snowy mountain village, teenager Jeanne (Clara Pacini)  flees and takes refuge in a film studio housing a production of Hans Christian Andersen’s The Snow Queen. There, she meets Cristina (Cotillard), the storied actress playing the title role and falls under Cristina’s spell, endangering her quest for freedom. With hazy 1970s visuals, a dizzying score and outstanding performances, The Ice Tower blends dark fairytale with stark reality.
