When a music mogul (Washington) – the “best ears in the business” – is targeted with a ransom plot, he is jammed up in a life-or-death moral dilemma. Reuniting for the fifth time (Mo’ Better Blues, He Got Game, Inside Man), Lee and Washington bring us a spirited reinterpretation of Akira Kurosawa’s crime thriller High and Low, played out on the mean streets of modern day New York City.
