A feast of festive favourites as BBC Radio 3's Friday Night is Music Night settles down to enjoy the movies that make Christmas - and the music that makes the movies!

It’s the best bit of Christmas: getting comfy on the sofa and relaxing with a classic film. And tonight, because a Christmas movie is nothing without a magical soundtrack, Katie Derham and the fabulous BBC Concert Orchestra present a special Yuletide edition of the BBC’s ever-popular radio show Friday Night is Music Night – live and larger than life!

It's a stocking full of music from the best-loved seasonal pictures of all time – a mouthwatering selection box of melodies from timeless classics like Scrooge, Miracle on 34th Street and White Christmas to modern family favourites like Love Actually and The Polar Express. No pesky adverts, no boring repeats: just good cheer, great tunes and glorious surround-sound festive spirit!
