The true story of a pioneering Tourette syndrome campaigner and his quest to live normally in a world that insisted on calling him different.

Diagnosed aged 15, John Davidson’s Tourette’s made him the target of misunderstanding, hostility and violence in 1980s Britain. With a superb performance from Robert Aramayo, supported by Maxine Peake, Shirley Henderson and Peter Mullan, I Swear explores the wit, grit and resolve that saw Davidson seek to define himself on his own terms.
