Emma Thompson stars in a merciless Midwestern thriller.
Travelling alone through the epic wilderness of frozen northern Minnesota, widowed fisherwoman Barb (Thompson) interrupts the kidnapping of a teenage girl (Laurel Marsden) by a desperate armed couple (Judy Greer, Marc Menchaca). Hours from the nearest town and out of phone reception, she realises that she is the young girl's only hope.
