The programme includes the third of Hungarian composer Liszt's symphonic poems, Beethoven's elegant third piano concerto, Shostakovich's moving and poignant neoclassical Ninth, and Tchaikovsky's dramatic Dante-inspired Francesca da Rimini

The orchestra is joined by the internationally acclaimed pianist, Paul Lewis CBE.
