Six women return to the now-abandoned Holloway Prison to take part in a women’s circle. Sharing some of the most intimate experiences of their lives, they unravel what led them to prison, revealing a profound portrait of trauma, injustice, and resilience.

Holloway is co-directed by BAFTA Breakthrough filmmaker Daisy-May Hudson (Half Way) and Emmy-nominated Sophie Compton (Another Body).

The film is the result of a trauma-informed, co-creative process with its contributors - women who shaped every stage of the project and are now helping to lead our impact campaign.

This approach has been recognised by Middlesex University as a “blueprint” for ethical documentary storytelling.

Panel discussion

We're delighted to host a post-screening panel discussion led by Lianne Kirkman from The Esther Project.
