An awkward widower, Guy Jones, attempts to escape loneliness by joining the local amateur light operatic society as they put on a third-rate production of The Beggar’s Opera.

By accident rather than design, and by not saying “no” to the bombarding flurry of PALOS’ characterful members, Guy soon ends up with a lot more than he bargained for! If he can’t negotiate the dodgy business deals, love interests, a madcap director and a ratty 1700s wig, Guy could soon see his new-found popularity flounder.
